What to expect in your first sound bath with me

If you’ve never been to a sound bath before, it can feel a little mysterious.

So let’s walk through exactly what to expect.

Before you arrive

You don’t need to prepare anything special.

Just come as you are — comfortable clothing, open mind, no pressure, there is no “doing it right.”

When you enter the space

The room will be calm, dim, and quiet.

You’ll set up your space on the floor with blankets, pillows, or anything you need to feel supported.

This is about comfort, not performance.

As the session begins

You’ll be invited to lie down and get still.

I’ll guide you into your breath, nothing complicated, just a gentle arrival into your body.

During the soundbath

I’ll play a combination of instruments like singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant sounds. I also include classical meditations instruments like the shruti and the harmonium, and you may hear me harmonize my voice at times with them.

You might experience:

  • Deep relaxation

  • Thoughts drifting in and out

  • Physical sensations (tingling, heaviness, warmth)

  • Emotional release — or nothing at all

All of it is normal.

There’s no “right way” to receive.

If your mind wanders

It will.

That’s okay.

Just gently return to the sound when you notice. No judgment.

After the session

We’ll come back slowly.

You may feel:

  • Calm

  • Grounded

  • Emotional

  • Clear

  • Or simply rested

Give yourself a few moments before jumping back into your day.

This space is designed for you to not have to do anything.

Just show up. The rest unfolds.
